Families have had the support of a CASA this fiscal year
Children are currently waiting for someone like YOU to become their CASA

Children in Fairfax County are experiencing abuse and neglect in their homes.

Their trauma includes exposure to domestic violence, sexual abuse, and struggles with mental health.

1

Each year, over one hundred children in Fairfax enter the child welfare system, and the majority are separated from their families and placed in foster care.

2

Due to the alarming rise of these cases in Fairfax County, many children are waiting to get the attention they need.

3

With your help, we can focus on each child and advocate for their best outcome.

4

Children with a CASA receive immediate intervention and, as result, receive more services and better advocacy on their behalf. When compared to their peers without a CASA, children with a CASA have better outcomes in achieving permanent homes, reducing their risk of re-entry into the system due to re-abuse or delinquency.

Become a court-appointed special advocate. Be a powerful voice for a vulnerable child. No experience required.

Change A Child's Story

Fairfax County Court Appointed Special Advocates, Inc (CASA) is a nonprofit agency committed to advocating for children involved in the court system due to concerns for their safety and well-being.

Fairfax CASA recruits, screens, trains, and supervises local citizens who become volunteer advocates. CASA volunteers make an immediate and critical impact in the lives of abused and neglected children. They work towards reunifying a child with their family of origin whenever safe, and in keeping the focus on the child.
