DESCRIPTION:Date: August 3\, 2021\, 7:00-8:30pm \n\n30% of the children we serve are Black\, but less than 5% of our CASA volunteers are Black. We know that representation matters and our children deserve CASA volunteers who share their experiences\, backgrounds\, and culture. It is crucial that we create a diverse pool of volunteers that reflects the demographics of the community of children we serve. \nWould you like to make an impact in the life of a child who needs an adult to stand up for their best interests and needs? Join us for an online presentation via Zoom to learn about the role and responsibilities of a Court Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children\, and how to become one. You will also hear from a veteran CASA about what to expect in this unique and rewarding volunteer role.
