The Bill Spill

According to Youth.Gov, as many as 4.2 million youth and young adults experience homelessness each year. Approximately 700,000 are between the ages of 13-17, and 3.5 million are between 18-25.
Oregon Congresswoman Janelle Bynum and New York Congressman Mike Lawler introduced the Homeless Children and Youth Act to remove the red tape that currently prevents children and young adults from receiving the support they need to overcome homelessness. The legislation would expand the federal definition of homelessness to include all children and youth, ensuring they are eligible for the resources and assistance intended to address the homelessness crisis.
