Give Hope for Giving Tuesday

Join the Fairfax CASA community on November 30, 2021, for #GivingTuesday! When you make your gift on #GivingTuesday, you become part of a global movement of giving and make an impact right here in your community. Your donation supports abused and neglected children in Fairfax by ensuring they have an advocate to stand by their side, which results in more positive outcomes in their futures.

Children with a CASA have a powerful voice in the child welfare system. CASA volunteers are often the one caring, consistent adult in a vulnerable child’s life, and they work tirelessly to ensure that their futures are filled with hope. Children with a CASA volunteer are:

• More likely to experience stability in their placement in the child welfare system,
• Less likely to re-enter the foster care system, and are
• More likely to succeed academically.

Over the last year, we celebrated many successes for the children we serve. One hundred and twenty two children’s cases closed because they found permanency in safe and loving homes. Children began to heal from their trauma and found stability Children returned to classrooms with academic supports in place for their success. Older youth successfully entered the workforce and attended college. All thanks to the support and advocacy of their CASA volunteers.

For nonprofits, Giving Tuesday is a happy day–a day of hopefulness and excitement. Giving Tuesday is a day where we experience our community coming together to support us through collective giving. Every gift matters, no matter the size, because each gift becomes a part of us reaching our goal. We are so fortunate to have a community that not only trusts us to do the work that we do, but recognizes the importance of that work, and supports us year after year so we can serve every abused and neglected child before the court.
